Who Should Attend?
This course is suitable for all staff and occupants of any workplace who are required to respond to workplace emergencies as emergency wardens, floor or area wardens.
Participants learn in a fully interactive environment that will prepare wardens for the potential stress of responding to a real emergency in the workplace.
This course includes warden roles and responsibilities, planning and conducting evacuations, fire safety and prevention, fire classes, practical fire fighting with extinguishers and fire blankets, initial response to critical incident, contacting emergency services, emergency codes and practical responses to emergency situations applying the skills learned throughout the session.
Nationally Accredited Certification On Completion
On successful completion of this course, the participant will receive a statement of attainment for the following units of competency:
PUAFER005 - Operate as part of an emergency control organisation
CPPFES2005 - Demonstrate first attack fire fighting equipment
Under the provisions of AS 3745-2010, refresher courses are to be completed every 2 years.

The course will allow the participant to understand confining small workplace emergencies and the competency required to make decisions about people’s safety during a workplace emergency and to give instructions on the priority order for responding to the emergency incident area.
This training includes a theory component and practical walkthrough outlining risks, hazards and emergency response equipment. A detailed report is issued on completion. All warden training is completed in accordance with AS 3745
