Careers in logistics and transportation will be discussed. Students will learn about the activities in the logistics channel, such as inventory control, materials handling, packaging, and reverse logistics.
The major modes of transport (land, air, ocean, and rail) will be discussed, transportation management software will be explored, and domestic and international shipping terms INCOTERMS will be introduced.

This field placement will prepare students for their transition to the workforce. The practicum will be completed in a warehouse or distribution centre environment working under the supervision of experienced personnel.
In this course, students will explore inventory and warehousing management, including inventory strategies, quality specification, and purchasing logistics.
Students will complete international documentation such as letters of credit, certificates of origin, and bills of exchange. Packaging and warehousing goods in the international supply chain will be covered.
Data Warehousing is the bedrock of reporting in SAP application and such constitutes a body of knowledge required by Business Warehousing Professionals to successfully develop queries and reports that meet the business requirements.
Supply Chain and Logistics Management involves the five aspects of the supply chain, including Planning, Sourcing (raw materials), Manufacturing (productivity, efficiency), Delivery and Logistics, and Returns.
