Careers in logistics and transportation will be discussed. Students will learn about the activities in the logistics channel, such as inventory control, materials handling, packaging, and reverse logistics.
The major modes of transport (land, air, ocean, and rail) will be discussed, transportation management software will be explored, and domestic and international shipping terms INCOTERMS will be introduced.

This 42-hour, five-module course introduces logistics and supply chain management as an integrated discipline practiced in the private and public sectors. It is designed to provide an overview of logistics functions and their application to supply chain management.
This course will introduce students to the fundamentals of dependent and independent demand inventory management techniques. Students will apply P and Q inventory management systems to determine to reorder point and optimal inventory levels.
This course will introduce students to the principles of inventory management, proper storage techniques, and warehouse optimization and design. Students will learn demand management, order management, inventory control, and associated costs in conjunction with customer-centricity.
