The current TDG laws have been with us for over 30 years. Over that time, the training component has stayed very consistent. Well, that is all about to change!
Last year, the Canadian General Standards Board created a new standard - CAN/CGSB-192.3-2020: Transportation of dangerous goods training, assessment and competency. This new standard radically changes how TDG training should be done.
Transport Canada has now stated they will adopt the new standard into law, requiring employers to create new documents and upgrade the way they train anyone involved in TDG.
Learn from an ICC Regulatory Expert how to document, mark and label, pack and transport dangerous goods in compliance with IATA (Air).
Some occupations in Canada are very risk, specifically those that handle dangerous goods. Dangerous goods fall under the government’s controlled substances, meaning they have to be classified and handling them is strictly regulated.
This course equips the participant to ship or receive infectious substances associated with bio-medical, research, or animal units. Participants will learn to properly label, document and package dangerous goods for road or air transport.Â
TDG training is needed if the types of products that you intend to handle (ship, transport and receive) meet the definition of a dangerous good, as defined in the Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) Act and Regulations.
This course is designed for individuals involved in the transportation, shipping and receiving of dangerous goods in Canada.
