Course Overview

Do you have a passion for travel and are you looking for a career which helps you to explore the world and create amazing customer experiences? This exciting programme provides an insightful overview of the travel and tourism industry.

You will study a range of units covering customer service, UK tourism, international tourist destinations and working overseas. You will also complete a work placement during the programme, gaining valuable experience in a travel and tourism related organisation.

Entry requirements

These courses are predominantly for 16-19 year olds and have different requirements depending on level. To study at Level 3, 5 GCSEs at grade 4 or above to include English Language and maths.

What is the aim of the course?

This programme will take you from the very basics right up to a detailed working knowledge of the travel and tourism industry. You'll gain a range of specialist skills, giving you an excellent preparation for employment in the sector. On successfully completing the course, you will achieve a nationally recognised qualification at the appropriate level.

How will I be taught and assessed?

You will study in a variety of ways, including presentations, group work, role-plays, and study trips. Assessment is both internal and external, and includes written exams and marked assignments.
