The Travel and Tourism course offers you a broad knowledge of the travel industry, from airlines, hotels, tour operators and the regulatory bodies that govern this industry. Being able to assist customers with interesting destinations and places to explore is a passion.
This subject provides an understanding of the size and scope of global tourism and hospitality, the food and accommodation sub-sectors and the issues and influences affecting it, along with the growth of global tourism and hospitality brands.
The programme progresses through three levels. Each N level takes place over one semester. After each semester, students are eligible for a National Certificate on that level. We recommend continuing through all three levels in order to qualify for the National Diploma.
The National Certificate (Tourism) is a programme at each of Levels 2, 3 and 4 of the NQF.
Tourism course certification is offered by Tshwane South College. As a public institution, TSC and her counterparts’ fundamental mandate is to indiscriminately equip South Africa’s young people with vocational and occupationally directed skills at intermediate level.
