Customer service in travel and tourism
The business of travel and tourism
UK travel destinations
Working as a holiday representative
In your second year you will study units such as:
Special interest tourism
Preparing for employment in travel and tourism
Taking part in a work placement
Investigating tour operators
Entertainment in the travel and tourism industry

Experiences
This course will provide you with the opportunity to hear from academic and industry professionals in talks and workshops, as well as visiting leading universities across the UK.
You will be given the chance to go on trips and visit cities like Amsterdam, as well as a two-week work placement to give you hands-on experience of the Travel & Tourism industry.
Progression
This course will provide opportunities for you to become employed in the travel and tourism industry, but will also prepare you to undertake one of the many travel and tourism-related degrees at university.
Outcomes
Students who complete a qualification in Travel and Tourism go on to a wide variety of jobs. These can include: Air Cabin Crew, Holiday Representative, Tourism Officer, Travel Agent or Hotel Manager, to name a few.
