Travel & Tourism will suit students who are interested in the dynamic world of Tourism. The course investigates the travel industry in general terms and gives a flavour of what jobs in this area might involve. The nature, role and appeal of visitor attractions
How visitor attractions meet the diverse expectations of visitors
How visitor attractions respond to competition
What will I be taught?
Each Unit is introduced and then students make use of materials in Course books on Teams site and the internet to research topics. Research skills are developed and students are encouraged to present work and have it evaluated. In addition, your teacher and personal tutor will review and discuss your progress with you and will be available for advice to support your learning.

This course is designed to give you a good understanding of a variety of careers within the Travel and Tourism industry and will give you a range of skills and knowledge required for employment.
If you see yourself working in Ibiza as a holiday rep or flying around the world as a flight attendant or maybe managing a chain of Hilton Hotels, then Travel and Tourism could be the subject area for you.
This Level 2 course focuses on an introduction to working as cabin crew. You will develop your knowledge and understanding of airline health, safety and security, how to respond to unplanned emergencies onboard, selling products and services to passengers.
Throughout the course, you will participate in water survival assessment training, undertake a familiarisation flight, spend time behind the scenes at international airports and develop your knowledge in our very own mock aircraft cabin.
