Turkish is a member of the Turkic branch of the Altaic family of languages and therefore completely unrelated to the two languages it was mostly influenced by: Persian and Arabic.
Given that the basic structures of the Turkic languages are not radically different, a knowledge of Turkish goes a long way anywhere in the Turkic world, from Istanbul to Urumchi.
There is no verb ‘to be’ in Turkish, and no verb ‘to have’. Turkish is free of the ‘grammatical disease’ of gender.
It is an agglutinative language: a root noun in a sentence will often have a string of six, seven, or even eight suffixes. It can produce single word-sentences, if not some of the longest words possible:

Turkish language course is offered by The Language Centre for all skill level. We have courses from beginners to very advanced students, taught by experienced native speakers or teachers who have spent part of their lives in one of the countries where the language is spoken.
Turkish is the most widely spoken Turkic language with over 75 million native speakers in and around Turkey. Learn modern Turkish and you will be able to communicate with the inhabitants of Turkey, several million people indigenous to Northern Cyprus.
Our Turkish speakers, fully qualified to teach their native tongue, can train you and, if need be, the rest of your group at a time that is suitable to you, at your home or place of work.
