If you work on buildings built or refurbished before the year 2000, asbestos could be present. You will need asbestos awareness training so you know how to avoid the risks.

Asbestos Awareness training is a legal obligation for employers where there is a risk that employees may be in contact with the substance. The number of deaths from Mesothelioma, an aggressive form of lung cancer attributed to asbestos exposure, rose to 2,535 in 2012, with Asbestosis though to have claimed 464 lives in the same year.
