This is a half a day course and takes place in a classroom. This course is aimed at everyone in a trade or industry that may come into contact with asbestos during their work.
For example: Builders – electricians – plumbers – carpenters - painters and decorators - telecom engineers - alarm installers - general maintenance staff and anyone who works on or disturbs the fabric of a building, including directors, managers and supervisors.
This course would also be beneficial for reactive maintenance managers, housing officers, building surveyors or anyone who has to enter buildings where a risk of asbestos may be present.
This course has been approved, accredited and audited by UKATA (United Kingdom Asbestos Training Association) to meet the standard required by the HSE. We have designed the course to comply with the latest Health and Safety requirements regarding mandatory asbestos awareness training for relevant trades and tasks.
The Control of Asbestos Regulations 2012 require mandatory training for any person who performs maintenance or works on buildings built before the year 2000.
