Our diabetes awareness course outlines the benefits of a healthy diet for all care staff. The trainer will also explain the signs and symptoms of hypo and hyperglycaemia. In total, the course will last 2 hours, and the trainer will involve learners in several group activities.

This course provides a thorough understanding of diabetes, its types, and how it affects individuals. Participants will learn to identify signs, manage the condition, and understand the role of insulin and other treatments.
Throughout the session delegates will learn about blood glucose, diabetic food myths, the eat well plate, healthy eating in care homes, weight management, meal plans, malnutrition and MUST.
This course is aimed at staff who have a duty of care for anyone with diabetes. The course explains what diabetes is and what to look out for. It covers how it is diagnosed, managed, and how school staff can support a child living with diabetes.
