Vehicle Loading Crane Training is designed to give the trainee the knowledge and skills to operate an VLC safely. The course is a competency based face-to-face training.
Participants will show competency by passing both theory and practical Assessments. It is a Work Health Safety Requirement for the Participants to be able to read and write Basic English.
The Participants will receive a Statement of Attainment and a small wallet sized plastic card when the Participants are deemed to be competent.
This unit covers conducting Vehicle Loading Crane operations in the construction, civil construction, resources industries.
It includes planning and preparing; conducting machine pre-operational checks; operating the VLC ; attaching, securing, lifting and placing materials; selecting, removing and fitting attachments; relocating the Vehicle Loading Crane; carrying out machine operator maintenance; and Shutting down VLC. cleaning up.

This qualification is intended for people who want a career in the rail industry performing Lookout Working and Handsignalling duties. These duties may include protecting worksites, obstructions and defective fixed signals on the managed Victorian Rail Network.
All candidates that successfully complete the course will be issued with a statement of attainment for TLILIC0005 Licence to operate a boom-type Elevating Work Platform (11 meters or more) and a high risk work licence card issued by Safework NSW. This is a nationally recognised unit of competency.
Electric Awareness is a course focused upon providing and reinforcing awareness of safety around electric cabling and devices, and providing students with awareness of risks which may be caused by electrical equipment.
This course will deliver the skills and knowledge required to select, don, operate and maintain breathing apparatus equipment in a hazardous atmosphere.
This accredited course is a unit that provides learners with the opportunity to gain experience in realistic confined space rescue operations across a range of scenarios.
