The student will do image editing, sound mixing, narrative editing, aesthetic editing and other technical tasks under the responsibility of the video editors. Each student has their own computer during all technical courses.
Given on computers equipped with the latest technologies, this intensive and practical 4-month training (320 hours over 17 weeks) is both technical and aesthetic. It focuses on image and sound post-production in the cinema with the reference software Adobe Premiere Pro, Photoshop, After Effects, Creative Cloud, Avid Media Composer and Pro Tools.

At least 70% of this program is taught in a practical way to small groups of 5 to 10 students. All courses are specialized in the profession(s) under study and are given by professionals from the Quebec cinema industry.
This program is interrelated with the other professional training courses of the ECTQ ( Screenwriting , Cinema production , Camera, light and sound and Actor/actress ) via various exercises and collective filming simulating the job market.
The student who successfully completes this program obtains a Certificate of Professional Training awarded by our school and is ready to begin his career at the end of his session.
This program is not offered remotely. Moreover, the ECTQ is not a CEGEP. Our programs do NOT include general training in French, English, philosophy or other, nor general introductory courses in cinema.
