The Village Yarn Shop first opened on May 17, 2008, in the quaint town of Zionsville. Through the years, a community formed around the little shop. It grew and grew, moving to a new location and offering new classes and products.
In 2016, the Village Yarn Shop became the Village Yarn Company. We have a new, fresh atmosphere for the shop, and always have exciting projects and classes available!

Patchwork Society is going to explore the rainbow. Over the course of 10 months, we will take one of the five primary colors of the rainbow and explore it in detail, looking at things like how to use it as a focal color, as a background color, what color it plays well with, how to assess the fabric...
Learn slip knot, Chains, Single and Double Crochet stitches. Basic Stitches holding the yarn &hook, making a slip knot, a chain, turning chains, slip stitch. Single, half double and double crochet.
Know Your Knits 101 is a two-part series so that we can explore and practice sewing different kinds of knits (there are SEW many!). Choosing a simple pair of leggings, lounge pants/shorts or skirt lets us focus on technique and fit without feeling rushed.
Knit them, set them somewhere cute, or inflict them on unsuspecting friends and family, then proceed to grin helplessly!
