Arts for Learning’s artist residencies at early learning centers reinforce school readiness skills for three to five year old children of all abilities.
The 16-session residencies incorporate hands-on arts lessons to support children’s development of social, emotional, cognitive, language, and fine and gross motor skills.
Led by Arts for Learning’s professional visual and performing artists, the artist residencies may be implemented in the fall, spring or summer, over a four or eight week period.
A key component of the artist residency is the in-class training and support of the classroom teacher. Throughout the residency, the artist works with the teacher to lead different learning experiences.
This real-time coaching helps build teacher capacity to incorporate the arts into regular instruction and classroom management beyond the artist visits.

Our TESL program is designed for adults who are interested in a career change, searching for a new vocation, interested in switching from teaching other subjects into English language training.
Our teacher training offers hands-on seminars that effectively train classroom teachers, after-school site leaders, or county employees to incorporate 21st century skills into their programs.
For more than a decade, Arts for Learning has partnered with schools, teachers and administrators to integrate the arts into everyday classroom learning.
In this teacher training program, participants are introduced to TESOL methodologies and approaches, various techniques for planning and teaching classes in all the English language-skill areas, cross-cultural communication, and a variety of levels and learning styles in the ESL classroom.
