Visual effects is a 10 months Extreme skillset program This course examines the relationships between traditional cinematography, visual effects, and CG animation.
Technical concepts and their practical applications are covered, including colour corrections, Keying Controls (green/blue screens), depth of field, match moving and motion graphic control. Students will also learn about traditional filmmaking elements such as matte painting, lighting and compositing concepts
In Advanced Compositing, students will utilize The Foundry’s Nuke to explore topics such as colour space, bit depth, and various file formats
This course uses examples of digital video live action imagery to demonstrate the uses of various rotoscoping, paint, and wire techniques for visual effects production
