The Lockett Academy is part of a registered association taking part in examinations, medals, rose awards, Gala Weekends and competitions as well as shows and demonstrations throughout the year.
The Academy takes children from 22 months of age upwards, specialising in Ballet, Tap, Modern, Acrobatics, Commercial, lyrical and Musical Theatre.
B.T.D.A is a member of the C.D.E.T (Council for Dance Education and Training) and have been validated by them for over 20 years.
All Qualifications gained by the students through B.T.D.A are recognised by the Q.C.A (Qualifications and Curriculum Authority)
Vocal tuition is available for all levels of ability, whether you're just starting out or want to build on your skills and confidence.
Our singing lessons are designed to help students develop an understanding of a good breathing technique and various ways in which our breath, voice box its accompanying muscular structures can be manipulated to create different tones and vocal qualities.
All lessons are tailored to the student taking aspects and influences from classical, Jazz, Theatre and modern songs. Lessons start with vocal warm ups moving on to technical exercises and finishing with your favourite song.
Singing classes are offered by Southern School of Popular Singing.We have 5 private voice coaches who offer singing lessons for all levels of ability from children from the age of 6 through to professional singers wishing to improve their technique.
Singing classes are offered by First Chord Music School. Lessons are tailored to students interests and musical ambitions. We make sure to blend this with music theory and technique.
