Course Details

Knowing how the singing instrument works, and knowing how to get it to work consistently is the sum of technical knowledge (Miller, 1996).

During vocal studies students will learn about how the voice works, how to care for it and have it work to their full potential.  Just like any other aspect of performing, training and understanding the instrument is only a part of the picture. Learning to sing with confidence, engaging the audience and being at ease on the stage are all aspects that will be covered during the sessions.

Classes will cover: Breath management, Support mechanism, Posture, Expanding the mind, Listening to other singers, Resonance, Diction and articulation, Projection, Expressiveness, Musicality, Vocal health, Healthy speech, Stage presence and Self-confidence.
