Southside Performance Studio offers a variety of acting, singing and writing courses within a perfectly constructed structure to bring out the best actor and performer in you.
Southside Performance Studio was featured in many leading Scottish newspapers, including Glasgow Times, for their unique initiatives and strong stance in the industry.
The studio’s approach to training is second to none. It’s an approach that is unique to only this school. The actor begins their journey through the studio’s fundamental courses which are taught in a 121 style.
This constitutes the first three months of training. The 121 style allows the coach to bring out the best in each individual performer by focusing solely on them and fine tuning their skills.
The actor then moves on to the production courses in which they work with other actors who are on the same level as them. This then allows each actor to further develop their skillset through application.
The production courses consist of short films, feature films, theatre shows and TV series.
Southside Performance Studio also offers essential courses such as; accent training, audition prep, voice acting, writing, vocal coaching and singing to round off the actor’s training, making them a complete performer.
After two years of consistent training, the actor then has the eligibility to become a member of UK’s professional acting body Spotlight UK, making them a professional actor. Actors on Spotlight are able to audition for mainstream roles in TV, film, theatre and commercials.
