Established in January 2013, Rata Studios (formerly CPAS) is situated in the Creative and Performing Arts Centre at Scots College, Strathmore, Wellington.
Rata Studios is administrated by Scots College and shares the same core educational values of realising the potential of every student and fostering a life-long love of learning.
Established in January 2013, Rātā Studios prides itself on offering specialised professional courses to children and adults in focused areas of drama, music, visual art and creative technologies.
Taught by industry professionals, using state of the art equipment, in world class facilities, and with strong relationships with the industry, we provide inspiring opportunities for our people to access and make a life in the creative and performing arts.
Rātā Studios operates out of the incredible Scots College Creative and Performing Arts Centre.
KSOM are well equipped to meet your needs both onsite and offsite. We currently employ the use of Zoom, Skype, Facetime and Google Hangouts to offer online lessons to our remote students.
The Mauao Kids Choir meet up every Tuesday at 4:00pm at the Mauao Performing Arts Centre. Guided by the awesome Camila, this group is open to children aged between 5 and 12 years old.
Vocal lessons are offered by Frank's Music School. In his own teaching, Frank’s focus is on CCM Voice Coaching (Contemporary Commercial Music); Contemporary Guitar/Bass Tutoring & Pop, Rock and Jazz Band Training.
Each lesson begins with a 5 minute vocal warm up with kids moving around the room.
