Waltz Dance classes are offered by SA Ballroom & Latin Social Dance Studio. Originally a forbidden dance, the Waltz was the first dance that involved a couple dancing in close contact.
Originally a forbidden dance, the Waltz was the first dance that involved a couple dancing in close contact. The Waltz first became fashionable in Vienna around the 1780s, spreading to many other countries in the years to follow.
The Waltz (especially its closed position) became the example for the creation of many other ballroom dances. This is a beautiful and graceful dance.
We teach a variety of dances with a strong emphasis on lead and follow to enable you to dance to a variety of music. Everything from an elegant Waltz, a sexy Salsa or a high energy Rock n Roll, we've got something for everybody at SA Ballroom & Latin.

We specialize in teaching people who are new to dancing so our classes are fun and easy.
Your first dance should be memorable and emotionally touching. Historically, the wedding dance is symbolic of the consummation of a bridal couple's wedding vows and it marks your first cooperative engagement and joint endeavour.
Our Children’s class is for all levels and everyone helps beginners to achieve and enjoy the experience.
We offer a weekly technique class for those wishing to step up in their dancing. Over the course of the year, we cover a variety of dances including ballroom, latin and new vogue.
Waltz develops balance and control. The Basic Waltz steps are the foundation patterns used in most ballroom dances. Correct posture, rise and fall, and flowing movements should be stressed to achieve good styling.
On your first visit, we will discuss your vision, music and choreography and we will be able to estimate how many 1 hour sessions will be needed
