This course is designed to help students with little or no experience with modern web technologies, gain a strong foundation in creating, testing and deploying a fully functional, cross-compatible and standards compliant HTML5 and CSS3 website.

Topics covered will include : HTML5 vs (X)HTML 4.01, working with HTML documents, web best practices, headings, paragraphs, links, lists, figures, images, blockquotes, tables, HTML5 structural elements, setting up a document's title, description, character set, linking to external stylesheets (CSS), basic text, box and display styles, basic CSS3 styles, basic column layouts, browser compatibility and live deployment.
