This one-day practical welding course will give delegates the skills and knowledge required to produce welded joints using oxy-acetylene welding equipment. Through short classroom sessions and hands-on training in welding techniques the course will enable delegates safely to set up oxy-acetylene welding equipment and to produce welds. It is ideal for maintenance engineers, engineers and those who wish to use oxy-acetylene welding equipment.

The unit is designed to enable candidates to demonstrate welding skills typically found in industry and associated underpinning knowledge to a level that will enable them to complete welded joints in simple welding positions.
The 2 day crash-course is designed to give the beginner a good grounding in welding theory and practice, typical welding joints and application. Lots of practical training using the MIG welding process, with overview of alternative systems such as TIG, Stick (arc) welding and Gas welding.
