No pieces are included, however if you wish to keep one of your creations, we can professionally finish and fire it, as well as apply our studio white glaze which is food safe and dishwasher friendly. Costed at $25 per piece.
This process takes roughly (4 weeks) in which we will then email you when they are ready for collection. If you do not return to pick up your pottery within a month of the pick up date, we'll donate it to those in need in our community.
Kayde (founder) built ClayGround and Bondi Clay, two ethically conscious and sustainable studios because it was his mission to not only support the natural environment, but also create a community that fosters creativity and connection through the sharing of thoughts, ideas and talent in our growing community of ceramicists.
Kayde first opened Bondi Clay in 2019 as a way of sharing his love for ceramics with his community. Kayde created this studio to offer a wide selection of classes, workshops and events to all ages and skill levels.
ClayGround then came to life at the start of 2021 as a dedicated membership based studio where people could expand and share their ceramic skills in a cutting-edge studio space. This has allowed him to build a community hub that inspires joy, relaxation and creative expression, celebrating the incredible benefits of ceramics.
The class will focus on developing the basic techniques of wheel throwing: centering clay, throwing tall cylinders, cups, bowls, turning and basic glazing.
Discover the joys and mindful pleasure of throwing clay on a wheel. No experience needed - just patience. However, this short course is also perfectly suitable for intermediate potters who have done a wheel-throwing course or two and want to practise or refine their skills.
