(White Card) Prepare to Work Safely in the Construction Industry

Description

The course is aimed at all workers carrying out construction work, including: self-employed persons, laborer's, apprentices, tradespersons, supervisors and project managers.

Students will learn the basic principles of health and safety in the construction industry as well as information about preventing workplace injury and illness, workplace injury management and worker’s compensation. as detailed in CPCCWHS1001 Prepare to Work safely in the Construction Industry.

Upon satisfactory completion of this course, participants will be issued with a statement of attainment, recognised within the Australian Qualifications Framework and issued under authority of the National Vocational Education and Regulator Act 2011, and a SafeWork NSW Statement of Training (SOT)

Course Topics

• Work Health and Safety
• Construction hazards and control measure, 
• WHS communication and reporting processes  
• WHS incident response procedures,
• Emergency procedures 

Participants will need:

• Comfortable and practical clothing
• Please bring your own lunch
• Water,Tea & Coffee facilities are available

Prerequisites

• 100 points of Identification, must include photo proof of identification such as a Drivers Licence, Proof of age card or Passport 
• (USI) Number-Unique Student Identification.
• You must be 18 years of age or over to attend
• Inform the RTO if you do not have a NSW address prior to course commencement.
• Have basic numeracy skills
• Demonstrate ability to speak and write English to a basic level
