In this Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) training, learn the standard classifications and symbols for controlled products, how to read product labels and MSDS forms, and your roles and responsibilities as an employee working with controlled products.
The Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) was first introduced in 1988 and was modified in 2015 to align with the Globally Harmonized System of Classification and Labeling of Chemicals (GHS).
Workplace hazards can cause incidents and injury - controlling hazards prevents them. Recognizing, evaluating and controlling hazards are the basic building blocks of any safety and health management system.
This training follows the guidelines, principles and recommendations established by common Occupational Health and Safety legislation and industry established and accepted safety standards.
