A WSPS expert will lead engaging instruction, discussion, and hands-on activities to help workers understand the key components of WHMIS 2015 - pictograms, labels and safety data sheets - and how to use these components to protect their health and safety. Public course delivery will focus on the chemicals most commonly found across industry. If you opt for on-site delivery, you can choose the chemical(s) you want the training to focus on.
This ½ day instructor-led training program is designed to help workers recognize the hazard classification and communication components of WHMIS 2015; understand the critical information provided through these components; and apply that information to protect their health and safety. This generic WHMIS 2015 worker training solution needs to be supplemented with specific training on the safe handling, use, storage and disposal of the actual chemicals within the employee's workplace.

The goal of this training is to update employees on the new WHMIS regulations and the resulting transitional period. It includes an overview of the pictograms, labels, safety data sheets and product storage.
Workplace Safety and Health regulations require that workers be informed about the hazards of controlled products used within their workplace. On an annual basis, workers must receive the appropriate WHMIS training to enable them to work safely.
Upon the successful completion of this safety training program, participants will understand: The legislative requirements (Government Regulations and CSA Standards); The duties and responsibilities of all workplace stakeholders; WHMIS exemptions; WHMIS categories;
Safety Training Ottawa will provide training to employees, volunteers and others who deal with the public or other third parties on their behalf. Individuals in the following positions will be trained
This WHMIS 2015 and GHS or Workplace Hazardous Material Information System Train the Trainer, or WHMIS Instructor course is designed to allow for in house WHMIS and other training courses. When a company's safety representative takes this course, they can then train other employees.
