Who Should Take This Course
Mandatory for anyone who handles hazardous materials in the workplace.
WHMIS 2015 GHS stands for Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System. WHMIS is Canada's national hazard communication standard. The system was created to prevent injuries, illnesses and death caused by hazardous material known as controlled products.
Various health effects can be caused from the exposure to hazardous materials such as propane, gasoline, bleach, acids, cleaning supplies, etc.
Failure to recognize or control these hazardous materials has led to an increase in occupational illnesses. Workers who are exposed to such hazardous materials should improve their safety by gaining a better understanding on how to protect themselves by taking a WHMIS course.

Under the current Occupational Health and Safety Code of Alberta, employers are required to ensure that there is a system in place that identifies both real and/ or potential hazards that are present in our work environments.
Located to our Concord Office, is our Occupational Health and Safety Training Center. We are proud to have achieved recognition from the Chief Prevention Officer, who has certified RMG as an approved training provider.

This course is designed to educate a worker, supervisor or manager on the major elements of the WHMIS Program. The student is taught how to implement a WHMIS Program in compliance with existing legislation. Every effort will be made to address concerns to the participants' requirements.
