WHMIS

Whether you work with or near a controlled substance (any chemical including bleach), WHMIS training is required by all workers across Canada. WHMIS (Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System) is a simple and informative course that can be completed in a classroom setting or by self-study.

Health and safety training experts recommend on-site training courses specific to the types of chemicals at your work place. WHMIS training takes a common sense approach to workplace health and safety.

On February 11, 2015 the Government of Canada published the Hazardous Products Regulations.  The NEW Global Harmonization System (GHS) has now been implemented. 

There is a transition period until December 1, 2018; this means that employees must have WHMIS GHS 2015 training completed by December 1, 2018.
