Learn the key elements of Canada's national hazard communication standard including hazard classification, cautionary labelling of containers, the provision of (material) safety data sheets ((M)SDSs) and worker education programs.
This program is generic in nature and gives participants a basic understanding of the WHMIS Legislation. Testing is mandatory under law and a pictorial test is conducted at the end of the program, which complies with the legislation.
Hazard Assessment and Control is a half day course that includes the above-mentioned material as well as practical exercises requiring the completion of hazard assessments.
The goal of this training is to update employees on the new WHMIS regulations and the resulting transitional period. It includes an overview of the pictograms, labels, safety data sheets and product storage.
STS Group’s WHMIS 2015 training is intended for all workers that work with or in the proximity of any hazardous products set out under the Federal and Provincial Regulations.
