WHMIS ( In Class) Course is offered by Mainland Safety. The goal of WHMIS is to provide workers with the information they need to stay safe on the job. With WHMIS, hazardous products must have a label and safety data sheet (SDS).
This 4 hour workshop provides education about controlled products (poisonous materials) in the workplace using Worksafe BC manuals and instructional material.

Labels identify the product’s hazards and precautionary measures. Safety data sheets, provide more detailed information. This course will teach the hazard categories & classes, pictograms, supplier & workplace labels and safety data sheets.
The successful candidates will receive a WHMIS certificate and be reminded about their employers responsibility to provide the annual onsite job specific training.
Certification
Certificate issued for the successful completion of the WHMIS education requirement. Worksafe BC also requires annual on the jobsite training.
