Our mission is to provide older adults with educational skills to use and enjoy technology in their day-to-day living environment in this 21st century. We also encourage socializing and exchanging information related to technology and computer skills.
We love computers! Our interests, general meetings, classes, and study groups range from computers, mobile devices, Microsoft software, iPhones/iPads, social media, genealogy, stock investing, etc.
We can host over 100 people in our general meeting room and have a classroom and learning center for classes and our many study groups. The study groups are free except for the Investors Daily Business group which charges $3 per session to defray market data costs.
But is free to Computer Club members. There is no requirement to be a member of the Computer Club to join a study group, although we are always looking for new members and would be glad to have you join.
Gain a basic understanding of computer operating systems. Learn the basic ins and outs of personal computers and operating systems as you begin down the path of computer training.
This three-class series of courses prepare individuals with previous Linux administration skills for implementation in enterprise computing environments, past the equivalency of Linux+ certification.
Get started working with the Linux operating systems. Write commands, navigate directories, and learn the major Linux distributions for cybersecurity: Kali, NodeZero, and BlackArch.
This course is designed to help students prepare for the CompTIA LINUX+ Certification exam and to teach the skills needed to administer GNU/Linux-based workstations and servers. Students learn how to plan, install, maintain, document, and troubleshoot GNU/Linux operating system services.
This course is an introduction to the Linux operating system for users. It is designed for those with a DOS/Windows operating system background with little or no knowledge of Linux.
