Wood working class is offered by Shasta Woodworkers Club.
The Shasta Woodworkers’ Club, located in Redding, California is an association of woodworking enthusiasts. Members include both men and women, skill levels are from absolute beginners to seasoned professionals.
Our interests include; cabinetry, furniture, lathe turning, carving, scroll-work, clocks, pens, boat construction, box making, lamps, games and toys, walking sticks, musical instruments and just about anything wood.

This course will provide an introduction to woodcut printmaking. Fundamental relief techniques will introduce you to the tools and methods needed to allow you to carve and print from your own relief woodblocks.
Students learn the safe and proper use of hand tools and how to read and draw basic woodworking plans. Students start woodworking in Pre-Kindergarten learning the basic fundamentals of measuring, and cutting, and their skills increase each year.
In this course we'll cover the basics of traditional joinery including hand-cut as well as machine cut dovetails, mortise and tenons, miters, rabbets, and dados.
This is the second in our classes for new and intermediate woodworkers. In this class you will have exposure to wood shop safety and the proper use of hand and stationary power tools.
