Overview
This working at heights training course includes the theoretical and practical components to meet the skills and knowledge required to work at heights safely and competently in operational roles, primarily in the resources and infrastructure industries.
Participants will gain the following skills and knowledge:
Assessing hazards and risks
Selecting, wearing and caring for personal protective equipment
Safety systems including fall protection
Legislation, policies and procedures
Performing work at heights
Safe shifting and handling of tools and materials
Coordinating and communicating with others
Training and assessment is conducted at Site Skills Training facilities. Upon arrangement, training and assessment can be conducted at the premises of industry clients providing there are suitable industry training facilities.
Site Skills Training and Competency Training run weekly high risk work licence courses and qualifications designed to help you or your employees advance in mining, resources, oil, gas, construction and engineering industries.
The TLILIC0024 Licence to Operate a Vehicle Loading Crane (capacity 10 metre tonne and above) is the most current nationally recognised unit of competency. The content of this unit has been updated to comply with the new WorkSafe standards.
Designed for those persons who are required to design and develop the organisations emergency procedures
This short course will provide participants with a knowledge of hazardous substances, including chemical hazards, and their control in the workplace.
To provide applicants with the practical skills and knowledge to safely operate a boom-type elevating work platform (boom length 11 metres or more) (WP) in accordance with Safe Work Australia's National Standard for Licencing Persons Performing HRW.
