Description

This Nationally Accredited Working Safely at Heights course is designed to provide participants with the fundamentals and equip them with the skills and knowledge to safely set up & work safely at heights in all situations & also covers Fall Restraint & Fall Arrest.

The Initial Training Course is suited to anyone that has not previously held a Statement of Attainment for Working at Heights.

Upon satisfactory completion of the training, Participants will be issued with a Statement of Attainment which is Nationally Recognised within the Australian Qualifications Framework and issued under authority of the National Vocational Education and Regulator Act 2011.

  • Equipment Selection and Use

  • Anchor Systems, Installing Solid and Reliable Anchorage
  • Static Lines
  • Fall Restraint Systems
  • Emergency Situations
  • Retrieval of fallen worker

 

Participants will need to bring

  • Wear comfortable and practical clothing 
  • Protective Footwear
  • Please bring your own lunch
  • Water,Tea & Coffee facilities are available

 

Prerequisites

  • (USI) Number-Unique Student Identification.
  • Be a minimum of 18 years of age
  • Photo proof of ID (drivers licence/Passport)
  • Have the necessary levels of health and fitness to safely carry out work at Heights
  • Have basic numeracy skills
  • Demonstrate ability to speak and write English to a basic level
