The course provides new and existing building and construction industry participants with the introductory understanding and knowledge needed to commence or continue work in the building and construction industry in a safe capacity.

Confining Emergencies is designed to train personnel to use first attack equipment and/or techniques in a facility to events such as small fires, chemical spills, or facility vehicle accidents.
This unit covers a participant’s skills and knowledge required to conduct civil construction excavator operations. It includes: planning and preparing; conducting machine pre-operational checks; operating and relocating the machine; and carrying out operator maintenance and clean up.Â
This course will cover both theoretical and practical elements of the competency required to participate in rescue operations as a member of a rescue team.
