In this course, you will learn how to prepare for gas testing, how to identify and define the health effects relating to gas atmospheres, and how to correctly test the atmosphere for gas. You’ll also gain hands-on experience in identifying, applying and maintaining gas testing equipment.
This training course is from the Manufacturing Training Package and covers the skills and knowledge required to operate and maintain breathing apparatus and equipment in an irrespirable atmosphere, as defined by the Australian Standard AS/NZS 1715 Selection
This training program is intended for staff who must implement local risk controls in working at heights circumstances. This course package is often intended for people who supervise teams who work at heights.
The course covers a range of topics, including the identification of confined spaces, risk assessment, permit systems, atmospheric testing, and the selection and use of appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
This unit of competency covers the skills and knowledge required to operate and maintain breathing apparatus and equipment in an irrespirable atmosphere, as defined by the Australian Standard AS/NZS 1715:2009 Selection, use and maintenance of respiratory protective equipment.
