Course Details

This unit provides the skills and knowledge required to work safely in the vicinity of live electrical apparatus as a non-electrical worker. It incorporates compliance with a safe approach distance for the worker, plant, tools, and equipment.

Upon course completion, participants must be able to demonstrate the following:

  • Prepare to work safely in the vicinity of live electrical apparatus

  • Work safely in the vicinity of live electrical apparatus

  • Complete work and documentation

 

Participants Must:

  • Be at least 18 years of age;

  • Have completed Year 10 in the Australian school system or equivalent;

  • Have language, literacy and numeracy skills equivalent to ASCF Level 2;

  • Provision of the participant’s Unique Student Identifier (USI)

  • Provision of Australian legal photo identification for assessment purposes
