This Work Zone Traffic Control Combo Skill Set Course includes both the Stop/Slow Bat (Traffic Controller Skill Set) Course and Implement Traffic Control Guidance Plan Course.
Most students book the Work Zone Traffic Control Combo Skill Set Course as it provides the best opportunity for employment. The Stop/Slow Bat Course (Traffic Controller Skill Set) enables workers to operate a stop/slow bat on a work site.
The Implement Traffic Control Guidance Plan Course enables workers to read site plans and set up traffic control on a work site. You will need a White Card to enrol into this course.
Pre-Requisites
Students must provide 100 points of ID at the day of the training.
TCP Training and Affirm Training are not registered with CRICOS, as such we are unable to conduct training and assessment for those with study restrictions on their visa.
It is important to note that this course requires a level of physical ability to complete practical assessments. If your health or fitness restricts you from performing physical activities associated with this program, you will not be able to complete this course.
This course combines plain English, videos, photos, and questioning to ensure all learners are able to have the best possible chance at comprehending the required knowledge and skills.
Assessment
All students must complete the theory and practical training, as well as completing a third party workplace sign off prior to going onto a live site to complete the workplace assessment and sign off.

Students are offered multiple opportunities to demonstrate knowledge and skills throughout the Traffic Control Course.
If a student is not successful in completing all assessments satisfactorily, they will need to rebook the Traffic Control Course at the full course fee.
Training Program
Students must:
Wear appropriate PPE: closed shoes/boots, long sleeve shirt, long pants & any sun and rain protection are required or you can be turned away.
There are 4 steps to the course:
Theory training in the classroom
Take home self paced learning and assessment workbook
Practical training in a simulated work environment
Assessment conducted in a real worksite/live project
