Course Details

The overall objective of this course is simple: we aim to give delegates a thorough working knowledge of the Work at Height Regulations 2005, as well as familiarising them with any other relevant health and safety laws.

Key Statistics from the HSE regarding UK Work Safety (2015/2016)

  • A total of 144 employees were killed at work

  • Around 621,000 employees sustained non-fatal injuries while working

  • 37 recorded instances of fatal injuries resulted from falling from height

  • 18 of these falls (48%) occurred in the construction industry

  • 7 of these falls (19%) were in the agriculture, forestry and fishing industry

  • 4 of these falls (11%) happened in the manufacturing sector

  • Falls from height at work were found to result in an average of 9.4 days off work
