This course is designed to introduce the employee, (Manager, Health and Safety Professional, Supervisor) to Canada’s newest standard for electrical safety in the work place. This is a one day CSA Z462 Workplace Electrical Safety training program.
As an employer, you have a legal duty to protect your workers from workplace hazards. As an employee and qualified electrical worker you have an obligation to ensure that you are working safely, by being able to recognize the hazards, determine effective methods of protection and provide for a safe working condition. Shock and arc flash hazards are potentially catastrophic events that can cause severe or fatal injuries. This one-day training course is designed to assist employer and employees to identify shock and arc flash hazards and prevent injuries and incidents associated with those hazards.
This course is designed for “qualified” electricians, technicians, engineers, supervisors and personnel that work on/near energized equipment in low, medium and high voltage ranges.
For the time being and into the near future, A&E Training Services will not be performing any on site training or consulting. We are continuing to offer our E-Learning courses and support our clients with on going teleconferences and on-line meetings.

Our Electrical Safety Awareness training program offers a comprehensive understanding of safe electrical workplace practices in accordance with CSA Z462-18. This program is suitable for electrical journeymen who may need to work live as well as any worker who works near an exposure to electricity.
This workshop is designed for participants who have little or no working knowledge of how to perform a proper lock-out/tag-out procedure. It is also designed to be a refresher course for more experienced workers.
OHS Orientation Course is offered by TRHGroup. Our team of health and safety professionals offer experience and leadership to ensure occupational and environmental health and safety is integrated into daily work activities.
Held at the IBEW Local 303 Union Hall - In the training center which is in the rear. You must enter the Training Center from the Back Entrance (you will see signage).
Supervisors play a key role in promoting healthy safety culture and job safety by identifying hazards and implementing methods of control, communicating safe work plans, observing the work, and by ensuring company policies and procedures are followed.
