Course Details

Training consists of discussions regarding what a Hazard is and when to utilize Root Cause Analysis. The program is a full day but can be scaled back to a half day at the client’s request. The facilitator will commence with the definition of a Root Cause Analysis, followed with a review of a video of an accident scene with discussion to follow.

The facilitator will then create a fictitious accident at your workplace to determine the root cause of the accident. If possible we can take an accident that the client has already had and perform a Root Cause Analysis on that accident. Arrangements for this element should be made in advance so the facilitator can prepare accordingly.

A “Question and Answer Period” will be conducted at the end of the session. Participants will receive instruction in the following topics:

  • What is Root Cause Analysis?

  • How is it applied to the workplace?

  • Accident Investigation to determine the root cause.

  • Workplace Inspections – determine the hazards in the workplace and offer effective controls to prevent the repetition of hazards.

  • Job Task Analysis – to assist you in developing safe operating procedures

  • Effective Supervision – to allow supervisors and managers to assess how their staff works..

  • Vaughan Branch

    219 Saunders Rd, Vaughan
