Whether you work with or near a controlled substance (any chemical including bleach), WHMIS training is required by all workers across Canada. WHMIS (Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System) is a simple and informative course that can be completed in a classroom setting or by self-study.
This facilitated training is available at London Training Centre or by pre-arrangement at workplaces in the community
This program is generic in nature and gives participants a basic understanding of the WHMIS Legislation. Testing is mandatory under law and a pictorial test is conducted at the end of the program, which complies with the legislation.
Workplace Safety and Health regulations require that workers be informed about the hazards of controlled products used within their workplace. On an annual basis, workers must receive the appropriate WHMIS training to enable them to work safely.
WHMIS stands for Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System. It is a Canada-wide system designed to protect the health & safety of working Canadians by providing information about hazardous materials encountered at work.
