The goal of this course is to convey particulars about health hazards, requirements for worker protection, safe work procedures, inspection criteria used to identify and control worker exposure to hazardous materials in the workplace.
The WHMIS 2015 Worker Protection safety training course has been designed to provide general information to workers, members of joint health and safety committees, supervisors, and managers.
The goal of this course is to convey particulars about health hazards, requirements for worker protection, safe work procedures, inspection criteria used to identify and control worker exposure to hazardous materials in the workplace.
This WHMIS 2015 Worker Protection course will also establish an understanding of the statutory requirements of the federal COHS, Provincial and Territorial OH&S legislations. We will achieve the course objectives by participating in classroom discussion.

Identify the WHMIS Responsibilities of Suppliers, Employers, and Workers.
Workplace Requirements for Supplier Labels and Workplace Labels.
Recognize the WHMIS Pictograms and the Types of Hazard each Represents.
Recognize the Safety Data Sheet (SDS) as a source of Information and how to use the SDS.
Identify WHMIS Exemptions for Suppliers and Importers.
Know General Safe Work Practices to be followed when working with Hazardous Products.
