Course Details

Course Objective

To provide the learner with the skills and knowledge to undertake activities related to Boom Type Elevated Work Platform Operation in accordance with the Work Health and Safety Act and Regulations (SA) 2012 as well as Safe Work Australia’s National Standard for Licensing Persons Performing High Risk Work.

Note: This course does not cover Training and Assessment for Scissor Lift.

 

Course Outcome

On successful completion of this course learners will be issued

  • Statement of Attainment
  • Notice of Satisfactory Assessment and Tax Invoice
  • High Risk Licence (WP) Issued by SafeWork SA *see over page

 

Course Content

  • Plan work
  • Conduct routine checks
  • Set up elevating work platform
  • Operate elevating work platform
  • Shut down and secure elevating work platform

 

Learner Requirements

  • Ability to read, write, speak and understand basic English
  • Learners must be 18 years of age to undertake assessment.
  • Must be able to work at heights.
