Women’s Enterprise Skills Training of Windsor Inc. (WEST) was developed in 1984 as a response to disproportionately high levels of unemployment among women and the difficulties experienced by women attempting to enter the workforce.

With funding from Human Resources Development Canada, WEST opened its doors in February 1987, offering unique training opportunities for women from Windsor-Essex and around the globe.
Through skills enhancement and volunteer placements, visible minority women have been prepared for entry to employment and have moved closer to achieving the success they desire.
Workshops include a diversity of customized and kinesthetic exercises / activities to facilitate the pursuit of one’s life goals for an authentic career path.
This course will provide useful tips on how to prepare your resume and cover letter to best represent yourself in your job search.
The course is designed to assess the students’ foundational writing skills in grammar, sentence structure, and punctuation. Upon completion, students will be able to construct clear, strong, effective sentences and put together business letters, reports, proposals, memos and E-Mails.
This course provides students with experience in producing client-based analytical research reports and proposals.
