Students should improve their writing skills throughout the course
At Luther College, we believe that effective communication skills are key to student success at university and beyond.Students should improve their writing skills throughout the course of their degree.
The Writing Across the Disciplines (WAD) Coordinator, Scott J. Wilson, assists instructors and students in specific Luther College classes by developing and delivering writing-specific assignments.
The WAD Coordinator also helps students improve their writing skills through in-class workshops, lectures, and one-on-one instruction
Who We Are
Luther College is a federated college at the University of Regina, and offers degree programs in the social sciences and humanities, sciences, and fine arts, with excellent pre-professional program options. With an enrolment of approximately 650 students, Luther College at the University of Regina is committed to retaining the personal atmosphere, individual attention, and sense of community that only a small university can offer.
The College provides the highest quality of teaching and fosters outstanding research. Its students are U of R students, pay the same tuition and fees, and receive a U of R degree. Students benefit from Luther’s student-centered approach to teaching and its small classes. Luther’s optional chaplaincy program nurtures intellectual, emotional, and spiritual growth for all students, including those from a religious background other than Christianity.
Whether pursuing pre-professional studies or a degree, students receive one-on-one academic advising throughout their time at Luther. The College is known for making the transition from high school to university easy. Designed to give students a successful start to university, optional groups of courses, called Bundles, can be chosen when registering for first semester.
Its excellent support for students extends to financial support as well. Luther students can apply for additional scholarships along with all the awards available to them as U of R students, while Luther’s residence, The Student Village at Luther College, is a cost-effective option open to all post-secondary students.
Luther College is a fully accredited member of Universities Canada.
