Course Details

In the writing for animation certificate course, students acquire the skills to craft compelling narratives tailored for the animation, visual effects, and video game industries. The course is designed with flexibility in mind, offering live online classes to accommodate diverse schedules and learning preferences. 

As part of the curriculum, students focus on topics such as story structure, outlines, beat breakdowns, addressing writers' block, and formulating a strategic 'plan of attack. Upon completion of the program, students generate premises, outlines, and final scripts for animation in the appropriate format. They also gain proficiency in developing and pitching original properties, allowing them to contribute unique and innovative ideas to the creative landscape.

Small class sizes

  • 1 online live sessions per week. (1.5h)
  • 1 online live support class per week. (1h)
  • 1 online live homework class per week.(30m)
  • Daily online student networking session. (1h)

Assignment Workload

Age

14+ years of age or older. If under 19 years of age, parent or legal guardian consent is required.

Portfolio

There is no portfolio requirement for this hands-on beginner course; it is open to the general public.

Assessment

Prospective students must successfully pass the general assessment test in our application form. The test assesses Computer Knowledge, Internet knowledge, English reading, and Writing skills.

English Proficiency

International students with English as a second language must demonstrate a good oral and written level of English. A telephone, video call, or in-person interview is required to verify English proficiency.
