This full day workshop explores the art of persuasion in your writing, reviews the steps you need to take to prepare your proposal, and sets you up to successfully persuade a funder to green-light your project!
Join us for this workshop on persuasive proposal writing and learn how to take your proposal from paper to approval!
Proposal writing is one of the most challenging but also rewarding parts of working in the non-profit world.
We all operate on very tight budgets, so the opportunity to pursue new programs or projects can be very enticing, but the competition is strong.
An increase in demand from other non-profits, a reduction in the availability of government grants, and more pressure being placed on foundations and corporate funders means knowing how to write a persuasive proposal is essential to successfully accessing funding and grant opportunities.
When it comes to proposals, it's not always the most qualified organization who gets the grant, but the most convincing.
Your proposal is more likely to gain support if it's clear, concise, and captivating. It needs to convince a potential funder that there is a genuine need in the community, and that your organization has the experience, expertise and the tools to address that need.

Learning Objectives:
We support people who want to volunteer and community agencies, non-profits, charities and people who support the volunteer sectors. We help develop their capacity to anticipate, celebrate, and meet the community needs in Manitoba. Our contributions include connecting people with volunteer opportunities, promoting volunteerism, and providing leadership and counsel in the non-profit and voluntary sector.
Our Work

Vision
Volunteer Manitoba is the leader and catalyst for engaging all Manitobans in volunteerism.
Territory Acknowledgment
Volunteer Manitoba is located on the original lands of Anishinaabeg, Cree, Oji-Cree, Dakota, and Dene peoples, and on the homeland of the Métis Nation.
