Course overview

This course includes set up, conversion, payroll, advanced procedures and day-to-day operations and is suitable for anyone requiring working knowledge of Xero operations.

It gives you confidence that you have the skills to operate Xero within your business structure or to gain employment as an accounts clerk using Xero Accounting and Payroll.

You will need prior knowledge of basic accounting terminology before enrolling in this course.  This is an interactive course where questions are welcome.

• Navigating Xero Accounting

• Bank feeds and reconciliations

• Cash coding

• Set up a Xero company file

• Conversion dates and importing balances

• Setting up and importing chart of accounts

• Setting up customer and supplier cards

• Setting up inventory and tracking

• Import a bank statement

• Perform a bank reconciliation

• Code payments through spend money

• Code and allocate cash receipts

• Create quotes, orders and invoices

• Process and issue credit notes

• Record customer payments

• Deal with bad debts

• Process purchases

• Record and code supplier payments

• GST reporting and overview

• Work with reports

• Complete a Business Activity Statement (BAS) using Xero

• End of year procedures

• Setting up payroll

This short course is non-accredited therefore is not registered with the National Training Register.
